WMATA HQ/Jair Lynch Real Estate Partner Permanent Art Installation by Hou de Sousa is Awarded Design Vanguard 2021

After a public RFQ, over 100 submissions, and working with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and community groups, Hou De Sousa was the stand out and have done an excellent job creating three art pieces that everyone is very excited to have in the L’Enfant Plaza neighborhood. Hou de Sousa has been a pleasure to work with and seeing them create these beautiful thoughtful pieces has been a highlight for Emily Alexander on this project. The art selected for the WMATA headquarters brings much needed light and joy to a neighborhood dominated by federalist and brutalists’ architecture.
