Jair Lynch recently completed the Martin Luther King Jr. central library for the DC Public Library (“DCPL”) system. This 450,000 sf historic renovation required Jair Lynch to manage multiple entitlements, design and construction of the national historic landmark which combined the complexity of preserving the buildings historic fabric with modern design elements. Jair Lynch also led the lease negotiations, tenant improvements, and transition for all staff/central operations into five temporary interim locations.
Jair Lynch interfaced with all tenants/partners in the building including the Washington Historical Society, the Department of Employment Services, and a satellite DC Passport Office. The building also houses DCPL’s administrative offices, the foundation, central processing, and the DCPL police.
